Grand Hôtel de l'Abbaye, Beaugency

Set in an abbey dating back to the 11th century on the Loire River, and close the famous castles of the Loire region, the hotel conceals numerous architectural jewels like its façade or staircase.

Grand Hôtel de l'Abbaye has kept a monastic feel to it and still manages to offer extremely comfortable accommodation. The restaurant serves exquisite traditional French cuisine and wines and it offers a view of the Loire River and 11th century Beaugency Bridge.

In 2008 the hotel and rooms will be renovated and fitted with queen size bedding, flat-screen TV, WiFi access, refrigerators and a car park.
